Hermetia Styria has been committed for several years to the sustainable solution of up-cycling organic by-products from the food industry. By using the black soldier fly, to utilize these raw materials we revolutionize the production of proteins and oils for livestock.
In Styria, Austria, we are establishing a modern industrial facility where we exclusively use regional raw materials to feed our larvae. These larvae are then transformed into high-quality protein products, valuable fats, and nutrient-rich insect frass. Our goal is to create a resource-efficient and sustainable industrial site for the utilization of organic by-products.
Our Vision
Our vision is to revolutionize protein sourcing in the EU, providing a sustainable alternative that alleviates pressure on our oceans from overfishing. We aim to repurpose agricultural land, redirecting it from feed production to the cultivation of nutritious food crops.
